Sweet girls and Sick boys

Want to see what my girls made me for Valentine’s Day?

“To Mom.  I love you.  You are just right for me.”

This one was a little bit trickier.

I cannot be certain . . . due to the excessive amount of unnecessary letters, but I believe it says something to the effect of:

“Mom.  I love you.  You are the best mom ever.”

Homemade by Sweet Pea.

Homemade by Daisy Mae.

Look at what else Daisy Mae made at school:

I sincerely hope with all my heart that this drawing is not to scale.

Otherwise, I am huge.

And if I am indeed that much bigger than the Lumberjack, then why, pray tell, do I not wear the pants?

Answer me that.

How do I know I don’t wear the pants?

Ummm . . . .

Well . . . .

Hmmm . . . . I can’t quite put my finger on it, but . . .

Hmmm . . . it definitely seems like things don’t always go  . . .

2009_9_07 142

 . . . the way . . .

I might . . .

envision.

And, on a completely unrelated note, my boys are sick.

Like fevers, coughing, vomiting, crying, whining, not sleeping, ear aches, and

snotty kind of sick.

And, in keeping with the tradition of random topics . . .

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!

Yes.

We are leaving for Cancun in 3 days.

If we don’t die from the stress of all the things we have to do to get out of here first.

Happy Wednesday!

    oh, such cute little girls!

Somehow everything gets done. That’s what my husband always says before a trip. Then I remind him that it all gets done because I do it. Once you are on the plane whatever isn’t done won’t matter

    : )

  2. Erin says:

    Your baby girls are adorable.
Sorry about the sick boys– hope they get healthy soon!

I love the picture of you and LJ!

  3. MeanFriend#2 says:

I’m praying your kiddos are all feeling better by the time you leave. I know it will give you a mountain of peace to know they are healthy before you leave the country to try to have some fun!!! So excited for you to get out and have some special time with the LJ!

  4. Mindy says:

Oh, poor Mommy! I’m sorry you are trying to get things done like crazy while tending two sick kids. And take/pick two others up from school. I can’t imagine. Seriously. I know I have it so good with two still totally at home!! Will pray for you…hang in there…..

  5. Calfkeeper says:

You are biggest in the picture because you are the biggest influence in your children’s lives. That has to be it.

Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

    Have a blast in Cancun!

  6. Melissa says:

oh man, that picture had me cracking up!!! i was laughing and my husband (home for lunch, sitting across the room) said, “let me guess, taylor?”!!!!

  7. Sandy says:

Cute drawing of you and hubs..now what is with the 2 strings of hair for the Lumberjack? Does he have an appreciation for that?

  8. Heather says:

What cute cards! I think your interpretation is close….
Hope those boys feel better soon! At least they will be in great hands while you are gone! Have a blast in Cancun and know it is all under control back home 🙂

  9. MaryGene says:

    1. “You are just right for me” is the cutest thing ever!! Precious!

    2. What is that/where did you get that amazing airborn tent thingy??? I need that!

    • thelumberjackswife says:

My husband bought it. It is a parchute or something from Army Navy Surplus-cost like $80. He felled a tree (weird) and uses it as the post.
      He is an odd duck.

  10. I would be even more jealous of your trip if it weren’t preceded by barfing boys. Not sure Cancun is worth that. 😉

  11. I hope you have an amazing time away. A time of sleeping in, not driving little people somewhere every hour, and not changing Handsome Dude’s clothes every time he goes potty. You deserve some total rest and fun with your honey. Of course – he might have you out cutting down coconut trees, zip lining, and sleeping in a tent! You will have to determine that you wear the pants this trip! (just don’t pack any for him..)

  12. Michelle says:

*omg* Stay away from the Germ Monsters! They will lure you in with their cuteness and before you know it you’re off to Cancun sick as a dog.
*jk* I hope your little ones feel better soon, it must be going around.

  13. Michelle says:

What adorable sweet girls! I hope your boys feel better soon! And yay! 3 days! 🙂

  14. Amanda says:

Oh my gosh… have SOOOO much fun!!! Cant wait to see pictures! No . Really. I cant wait. I need to see some beautiful sandy beaches! 🙂

Hope those little lumber-men in training are better soon!

    Blessings-
    Amanda

  15. Christina says:

May your boys be well. May your girls evade entirely the sickies. May your suitcases be packed early. May your house clean itself the day before you leave. May your skin take on a lovely sun-drenched glow even before you arrive at your tropical destination. And may your size in relation to the Lumberjack be just right that you may fit in that sweet spot tucked under his arm as you gaze at the moon on your fabulous vacation.
    🙂

  16. Jill says:

Your valentine’s are adorable. And I don’t ever take my kids’ drawings literally. I can’t possibly look that bad.

BTW, I think our husbands would get along very well. Your pictures look an awful lot like mine.

  17. Meagan(aka Aunt Momo) says:

Are you sure it is not “Momo I love you. You are the best Momo ever”?

    I’m just saying…

  18. Marla Hansen says:

The shotgun in the crib is classic!! LOL

  19. Momma Mindy says:

I loved all those adorable scribbles. I didn’t save enough from the first kids, now I am saving every one from the last, which is too much. So happy about your vacation and praying all goes well.

  20. ~*jo*~ says:

your kids are way too cute!! 🙂 …hope they are feeling better!! 😉

  21. thestinkies says:

I might have missed this because I do not always get a chance to read your blog everyday, but please tell me: how did the 30-day shred go? Any success?

Here’s my second (quite ridiculous) question: will you be blogging while in Cancun? Or are you hiring a stand-in? Like SweetPea or how about your father? 🙂

    • thelumberjackswife says:

Let’s see: I did Weight Watchers (kind of), 30 day shred, and 8 minute abs and I lost about 3 pounds and lost about 1 in of tummy regions. I don’t think I will be blogging in Cancun and I am quite certain guest blogging would be too tricky for my dad or Sweet Pea!
I will probably post tomorrow and that might be it for a few days. 🙂

  22. Dawn says:

you will have an amazing time!
