About this Site

First things first:

1)  My husband is not technically a lumberjack.  He is, in fact, an electrician.

2)  My husband desperately longs to be a lumberjack.  If you need a tree felled, he’s your guy.

3)  My husband is really into camping.  I am trying to be outdoorsy and deal with camping hair:

It’s not really working out for me.

Welcome to The Lumberjack’s Wife!

Here you will find stories about our life as a young family.

I hope you will find humor, entertainment, and encouragement in my writing.

You can subscribe through emails, a reader, or join me on facebook.

Also, I love comments and find them quite encouraging!

Who’s who:

Here’s our delightful offspring, from left to right:

Handsome Dude (2), Little Dude (1), Daisy Mae (5), Sweet Pea (6)

And here I am with the Lumberjack:

I have a creative blog name for everyone in my family . . . except myself.

Lame.

I am open to suggestions.

Taylor- You are the best! Now that I’m home all the time with the grandkids, you light up my world. I’m not alone with the poop floating in the tub, I’m sure you’ve scooped it, too! Two things that aren’t one thing (from grammy 🙂 – your cookies were wonderful and I make them often (the low-calorie chocolate ones) and you said you didn’t know anyone who has run into a bear in the huckleberry patch, but I have and you know me. I have actually been in the same berry patch as a bear twice in my life, once when I was in 4th grade (I know a loooooong time ago) and once this year. Neither time was fun and both times I left the patch with no berries! Thanks for all the smiles and laughs!

Isn’t it about time you update this page with current photos and ages? I mean, since you have so much free time on your hands. 🙂
