After 4 months of horrible short-sale nonsense, we officially bought the house in Ruralville today.
(Daisy Mae is holding the closing papers)
Attention Short Sales: Goodbye and Good Riddance.
Everything fell into place.
Inspections came back good.
All the papers were signed.
And we have a fine, good well.
A well.
Honestly.
Goodbye, Civilization.
Goodbye, Human Beings.
Goodbye, Target.
Hello, Ruralville.
At least Daisy Mae knew how to dress for the celebration! Congratulations!
Ah, sweet! It is so nice to hear how this has worked out for you. One day we might make it to ruralville, too.
Am I the first to say – CONGRATS!!!
And who are you kidding, you will do the drive for Target. There are just some things you can’t do without.
House looks great and everyone looks very excited for the new adventure. It will be nice to let the kids run a little (or a lot if you want them really tired).
The house in this picture is our current house that we are moving out of. And yes. I will drive to Target!!
Hello to kids running through the sprinkler with no clothes on!
Hello to every. body. and I mean everybody knowing what is going on in your life and quite possibly before even you do.
Hello to dusty dirt roads, bright starry skies and the sound of sprinklers in the fields near by.
Sounds like heaven to me.
Yay for finally closing!!! Sad for having to move away from civilization!
P.S. Sweet Pea and Lumberjack are holding their feet the same way!!
Woohoo! Congrats! So exciting 😀
LJ’s even SMILING!! A little. =)
i would say the occasion calls for a little more excitement from the LJ!! =)
How’s the internet connection in Ruralville?
Congrats!
That bee yoo tea full house is now all yours! YEA!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Ruralville is going to give you lots of stories…I can’t wait.
Congrats! Just don’t let the little dudes hold the papers, given their penchant for losing things!
WOOT WOOT! Congrats!
Congrats!

Congrats on house and graduation!
Oh Target … so sorry … Target is difficult to live without. How long will you have to drive to get to one?
Is LJ a Swede?
What?! A swede? Ha? Why?
He is part Lithuanian, if that helps solve any mysteries!
Yea for you! Can’t wait to see your side of the story. You know, “Redecorating”!
Congratulations!!! 🙂
On the bright side, your Little House on the Prairie life could mean big savings at Christmas. You can convince your kids to be overjoyed at the sight of a shiny penny, an apple and a jar of molasses candy.
Oh my gosh, I’m picturing you in the opening of “Green Acres” good-byeeee city life… Green Acres we are thereeeee…..!!!!!
Enjoy and congrats!!
How exciting! You will have an illimitable amount of blog material living in Ruralville. I guarantee it.
And I meant to say that I am speechless (I know that makes no sense, but…do I ever?) that you have never eaten at Chick-Fil-A. Never. I can’t believe it. One day you will visit me, and the first thing we will do is go to Chick-Fil-A.
Do you like sweet tea? Is there any other kind?
“Good-bye Target” is the saddest part of this story. I nearly shed a tear for you. Truly.
Hooray for your family! You were brave to pursue a short sale. 🙂
I was so happy, so excited for you, so enthused about your move.
Then I read the phrase, “goodbye Target.”
I’m so terribly, terribly sorry for your loss.
You should start having a donate $1 spot box in your sidebar, so you stay in touch with civilization.
Congratulations! On the one hand, you will be so far out from everything that you will have plenty of time to draw your own water from the well (I know that’s not really how it works, but go with me here), bake your own bread, handwash all the clothes and hang them out to dry in the bright sunshine.
OOOOORRRRRR you can schedule your trips to Target in the evenings when LJ is home to watch the kids. Think of it–that long, quiet drive, listening to your own music instead of the kids’ chatter, crying and/or arguments. It could become almost a nightly ritual! : )
Congratulations, I am jealous that you are living in Ruralville and I am stuck in the big city. You have trees, flowers, fresh well water and I have smog, smoke and stinky city water.
Congratulations! Woohoo! Who needs target when you’ve got target.com, anyway 😉
While having to drive to Target is a tragic blow, “Congratulations” on your new home with plenty of room!
Congratulations! Living in ruralville is not so bad. (who am I kidding) We, too, have a well and I have to say the water is much better. (if that’s any consolation) We do not have a Target here in the North Country but I would totally miss it if we did. ( I do miss having one really) Can’t wait to hear some of your moving adventures! 🙂
Yay Taylor!
Congratulations Daisy Mae, glad about the flowers, glad about the scanner, glad Mabel’s OK and DM’s head. Glad for precious moments with babies, glad about the new adventure coming your way. Love the photo. Even glad about hangers in the fridg. He was helping. So sweet.
