Fat Tuesday: The Final Chapter

I always start these lame “Fat Tuesday” thingies with much hope and determination.  In my mind, I envision being inspirational to others.  You know.  I would say things like this:

and this.

Instead, I start to sound more like this.

and

So, what can we learn from this Fat Tuesday month, hmmm?

Let us do a list.  For this pleases us.

1)  Taylor CAN find time to exercise.  Amazingly enough.  With the exception of David’s appendicitis week, Taylor was able to exercise 5 times a week throughout the entire month of May.

It can be done!

2)  Taylor has a weakness for chips and salsa.

There is nothing like the first chip out of a fresh, new bag.  There’s no denying it.

3)  Taylor has a weakness for Moose Tracks ice cream.  Taylor had three Moose Tracks ice cream cones while on her “diet.”

And Taylor uses the term “diet” quite loosely.

And Taylor also wonders how she managed to switch this post to third person.

4)  Taylor enjoys some forms of exercising.  Taylor looked forward to her time WITHOUT CHILDREN in her room, exercising and watching a humorous show.

It put a little sunshine in her day.

5)  Has the reader noticed that Taylor is still writing in third person?  Annoying isn’t it?  Taylor can’t figure out how to stop it.

Taylor wonders how she will get out of this third person nonsense.  Taylor is not that clever of a writer.

6)  Taylor lost two pounds overall.  She wishes it were more, but she will take it.

7)  Taylor is still afraid of swimsuits.  As she should be.

Taylor thanks you for participating and she hopes you will post your final check in here.

Thanks bunches!

  1. I think Taylor is awesome AND clever no matter what any “third person” may think. 😉

  2. WELL … it took about 24 hours to figure out that I eat WAY too much at night to be trying to write it all down … which, apparently, is part of the problem – ha! And then the last two weeks we’ve been out of town twice, so any exercise was right out the window, in addition to any food decisions that remotely resembled dieting … and … I lost 3 pounds. So … trying to lose = gain weight. Not trying to lose = lose weight. COOL. I’m happy to have participated in this Fat Tuesday exercise with Taylor, who always makes me laugh.

Taylor is always an inspiration to me. For she is always a real person who is not afraid to note her fails as well as her successes! I thank her for the Fat Tuesday fun.

Alas I will probably not have time to do my final post today, due to an out of town trip this AM.
But I am happy to report maybe a 5 lb loss success. I shall continue to keep up the exercising and calorie counting all summer.
Congrats to you…ummm…Taylor on her own successes. She learned many things about herself this month!

I think it’s great what you have accomplished, especially considering all the craziness in your month!!
I have missed chips and salsa. 😛
Thank you so much for doing this this month. I really needed something like it to keep me on track. I really looked forward to each Tuesday. Of course, I look forward to your blog every day. 🙂

quite an accomplishment. you look fantastic anyway, no wonder people wonder if all four kids are yours. you don’t look like you’ve had four kids or even one.

Once again, Antie DNL has nailed it. I really like her. If she wears Birkenstocks, we could really be tight.
OK. I lost 25 pounds. but it included the birth of a 9+ pound baby. So that doesn’t really count. but I am way to weak to make my fat cry and do something “extra” about it.
    Maybe next May…
